Who the hell are Vacations, anyway?

i'll be more than happy to tell you. :) straight from their Wikipedia page, "Vacations is an Australian indie rock band formed in 2015 in Newcastle. The group consists of lead songwriter and vocalist Campbell Burns, bassist Jake Johnson, lead guitarist Nathan Delizzotti and drummer Joseph Van Lier. They describe their sound as "woozy guitar pop", combining indie pop with elements of jangle and lo-fi.

After leaving high school, Campbell Burns began writing and recording "sad boy songs" and posting them to his Tumblr account. His friend Jake Johnson heard the tracks and the two started creating music alongside Nate Delizzotti and Joseph Van Lier, forming Vacations in 2015 and gaining traction on SoundCloud and YouTube. The band recorded and published their first two extended plays, and first studio album by themselves with no management nor PR."

in Campbell's own words...

"VACATIONS originally started out as myself just writing sad boy songs and posting it on my Tumblr when I was like 17 or 18. My best friend Jake heard the tracks and said he was down to do something together.
So, we started to get this three piece together and we had a house party as our first show. We didn’t have a name, so we brainstormed ideas and eventually settled on VACATIONS. It stuck ever since.”
